About Middi

Middi was born August 19th 1980 and has been working as an entertainer since 1992 and to date has performed at over 4000 venues across the UK and the EU to over a total of 500,000 people. Middi briefly worked as a magician before turning to music and still does the odd card trick now and then.

  Middi Disco’s started in 1994 and quickly earned a reputation as one of the North-East’s premier mobile disco companies, with a “your songs, your volume” attitude.

  In 2001 Middi disco’s started a seasonal contract with “Yorkboat” a pleasure cruise company with five function boats on the river Ouse. However, Middi’s major talent as a DJ has always been overshadowed by his unbelievable live performances, playing guitar, piano, accordion, keyboards and drums.

Over the past ten years Middi has carved an amazing reputation as a solo country singer, winning praise from line dance and listening audiences alike and receiving many nice write-ups in the likes of “Cross Country magazine“ “Gigs and Jigs“ “W.O.R.D“ and the “Northern echo” (unfortunately, the collection of reviews we were going to put on the website were lost to flood damage last year while in storage).

  Middi opened “The Dog House” recording studio six years ago after receiving expert one on one training in digital recording from Mike Boyes (producer of “Monsoon” ,“Screaming Retro” and “Chesney Hawkes”). Now fully proficient in all studio technologies Middi set to work writing and producing for many artists on the country and western scene, also producing many high quality backing tracks for “Sunfly”, “E.K”, and “Pro-burn” karaoke companies.

  The production value was a huge selling point of Middi’s first major album release “Last train to nowhere” which is currently under review for distribution by “Pinnacle”, “Emerald music”, “Time music” and “Capitol Nashville”. The studio was sold last year in order to persue other areas of the music industry but he still records from his home studio which by anyones standards is still a pretty impessive set-up!

  Middi has toured the UK and the EU extensively as a solo country artist and as part of his "Garth Brooks tribute show which toured theatres and large venues for two and a half years. He now works under nearly all of the major agents, has recorded 12 albums and over the course of the next few years is hoping to take on more of Europe with both his country, Irish and standard shows. Middi is a member of equity and the name “Middi” is now a registered trademark in the UK and Europe.
